Individual French & Breton workshop / dance events run by d'Accord (and anyone else) will be listed in the Diary as and when Harberton Folk is aware of them happening
"d’Accord is a French and Breton dance and music club which
aims to encourage the traditional dance and music of Brittany and France.
We meet on the 3rd Friday of the Month between September and June and have special events during the year. Encouragement is given to everyone to attend our beginners workshops and we emphasise participation and opportunity.
Our regular venue is :
Ide Memorial Hall, Fore Street, Ide, Nr Exeter EX2 9RQ (map)
Our evening starts with a beginners / improvers dance workshop 7.15-7.45pm. The evening dance (Fest Noz/Bal) follows at 8.00pm usually with 3 bands playing a wide variety of dances. Some dances are shown and led during the evening by one of our many dance leaders. There are experienced dancers to help beginners. No need to bring a partner or have any experience. Dances are in circles, lines or couple dances.
Live music from up to three bands every time, guarantees a wonderful evening whether you dance or just listen to the authentic music of Brittany and France!
Whether experienced or beginner if it is the sounds of France & Brittany or the traditional dancing you are are looking for we have superb live music every time. For full programme, band, contact details etc. see www.daccordexeter.co.uk. Email firstname.lastname@example.org."
