National

Folk on BBC Radio
A wide range of Network (e.g. Mike Harding on Radio 2) and National (Radio Wales, Scotland etc.) folk programmes from the BBC is available through www.bbc.co.uk/music/genres/folk. Follow the 'Listen to Folk shows' link to see the programmes available through iPlayer (for up to 7 days after broadcast). I don't yet understand why certain other BBC folk programmes broadcast locally do not appear in these listings. For example:
Richard Digance's Devon Folk on BBC Radio Devon: Sundays 5-7pm - New from January 2010. See www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p007h3v0.
See www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio/bbc_radio_gloucestershire for an excellent weekly programme by Johnny Coppin on BBC Goucestershire.
And www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio/bbc_radio_shropshire offers you the weekly programme 'Sunday Folk' by Genevieve Tudor.

The Music Well (formerly Radio Britfolk)
www.themusicwellhome.co.uk is an online resource dedicated to folk. Extensive billboard and new releases playlists offer pure no-chat music, plus many archived programmes offer a wide listening choice.

Local/National/International - Mr Red has a radio page on www.users.waitrose.com/~cresby/radio.htm ( http://cresby.com) listing all the local folk radio programmes vaguely in the area Shrops/borders Wales southwards, plus many national and international links I haven't even begun to look at yet (e.g. US radio stations with online folk programmes...).
