Thursday 3rd January 8.30pm
Bicton Folk Session
Enjoy an evening of lively, foot-tapping music when local musicians get together for an open acoustic session featuring accordions, violins, guitars, banjos, mandolins, pipes, bodhrans etc. Anyone can come and join in, lead a tune or just enjoy listening to the amazing sound created by the performers. The session usually includes lots of jigs, reels, polkas, airs and shanties, but anything can happen!

A Musical Tribute to Yvonne Matthews
Singers and musicians will be paying their respects to Yvonne Matthews who sadly died two weeks before Christmas. The musical celebration of Eve's life will feature her many talented musical friends and aquantances including her partner of more than forty years, artist and musician Malcolm Horton. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the music and remember a wonderful person who herself enjoyed listening to music at the pub.
Sunday 6th January 5pm
New to the Bicton, Tony performs an interesting selection of acoustic covers to which he applies his own unique twist of captivating vocal, various guitars and mandolin. You are guaranteed to enjoy his polished renditions of songs by Supertramp, Greenday, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Paolo Nutini, Tracey Chapman, Radiohead, Nirvana, Wheatus, and many more. Tony will also play some of his brilliant originals.

Open Mic Night
An evening of music from anyone who would like to come along and perform in this relaxed atmosphere. The monthly event has so far included a wide range of musical genres and given exposure to some very talented musicians, poets and singers. If you have a musical talent, you don’t have to book a place, just come along and play.

Livvy Hylton-Smith & John McLoughlin
You are guaranteed to be impressed by this amazing duo comprising charismatic singer Livvy Hylton-Smith and versatile multi-instrumentalist John Mcloughlin when they perform a very varied selection of songs from the 70s to the present day, including some interesting originals.

Nine Pound Catfish
Nine Pound Catfish are Graham Butterfield and Ian Gardner on guitars, mandolin, banjo and vocals with Jane Gardner singing and playing washboard, bells, hooters, whistles and spoons. The trio are of a high musical standard but their music is full of fun and whimsy when they perform a mixture of hokum, ragtime blues and old country music, mainly from the twenties and thirties.

Exmouth Irish Session
Enjoy an evening of lively and evocative music from the Emerald Isle in this Sunday night session featuring singers and musicians from all over Devon. If you sing or play, come and join in. All abilities are welcome. It’s a great night to meet up with people with Irish roots too.

Becky’s Folk & Indie Open Night
An open session featuring acoustic music performed by anyone who would like to come along to sing or play. Hosted by Exmouth’s favourite balladeer Becky Brooks, anyone can join in the fun, perform solo or as part of the group. All abilities welcome

Exmouth’s amazing singer-songwriter Eleanor first entered the music scene under the name ‘Ellie Jacobs’ when she collaborated with Randy Bachman from Bachman-Turner Overdrive to produce her first album ‘Girl On The Moon’. Eleanor’s unique sound combines the classic ‘Country’ genre with English pop/folk music which she describes as 'New English Country’. Accompanied by just an acoustic guitar, Eleanor is guaranteed to captivate you with her beautiful songs. Eleanor has appeared on Radio 1 and completed a tour of America.

Bicton Folk Night
Exmouth Shanty Man Derek Brooks invites you to join him for a traditional folk night, when a varied selection of singers, musicians and poets perform individually and as a group. If you sing or play why not come along and join in the session? Otherwise enjoy listening to a selection of varied and lively traditional acoustic music.

An afternoon featuring an eclectic mixture of music from Exmouth’s favourite troubadour. Singer/songwriter Guy Somerfield again delivers his very polished performance of songs with an original twist, ranging from gentle folk to pulsing rock and everything in-between. He will also be playing some of his own enchanting songs.

Fallen Cedars are: Nuala - lead vocals, Mike - lead guitar, Mark - rhythm guitar, Adie - bass and Jacky - Percussion. The band is from the edge of Dartmoor and were created from a diverse range of musical backgrounds and creative wishes. They play original songs and a few obscure covers. Their music is uplifting, languid, lilting and melodic; a sound of indie folk mixed with lounge; acoustic and electric. Fallen Cedars influences include bands such as The Waifs, The Staves and First Aid Kit.
