Sunday 1st September 5pm
Phil Hogg
Don’t miss this amazing singer and multi-instrumentalist. Phil Hogg has been creating music since childhood as a chorister and budding musician, playing any instruments he could get his hands on. Since then he has been active on the music scenes in London, Northumberland and Japan, as a solo artist and band member. His first gig at the Bicton will see him performing a wide range of genres from folk to classical, gospel to country featuring his fantastic singing and impressive piano playing. He will also perform some of his own evocative songs. Phil welcomes audience participation, so get your voices in trim!

Thursday 5th September 8.30pm
Bicton Folk Session
Enjoy an evening of lively, foot-tapping music when local musicians get together for an open acoustic session featuring accordions, violins, guitars, banjos, mandolins, pipes, bodhrans etc. Anyone can come and join in, lead a tune or just enjoy listening to the amazing sound created by the performers. The session usually includes lots of jigs, reels, polkas, airs and shanties, but anything can happen!

Saturday 7th September 5pm
Meand’er
Devon duo Hannah Power & Graham Crocker perform warm open-hearted acoustic music - a mixture of originals and unusual covers featuring guitar, mandolin and harmony vocals. They have been playing acoustic music together for many years although only recently in this duo format. Prior to forming Meand'er, Hannah & Graham have supported many well known artists including Martin Carthy, Seth Lakeman, Al Stewart, Roy Harper, Roy Wood, Julie Felix, Colin Blunstone etc.

Saturday 7th September 7pm
Musical Spectacular for Sarah’s Fund
Exmouth’s Mayor, Steve Gazzard and landlady Alison Brockbank invite you to a musical spectacular featuring over 4 hours of live performance from some of Exmouth’s top talent.
The concert is being held to raise funds for the late Exmouth mother Sarah Wright with every penny going towards the research programme set up in her name via The British Lung Foundation.

Nigel Challis
Nigel is a highly accomplished guitarist and a master of country/folk finger style. He has performed at numerous festivals and venues throughout the South West to rapturous applause. Today Nigel will be performing a selection of popular songs including country, folk and blues classics.

Thursday 12h September 8.30pm
Open Mic Night
An evening of music from anyone who would like to come along and perform in this relaxed atmosphere. The monthly event has so far included a wide range of musical genres and given exposure to some very talented musicians, poets and singers. If you have a musical talent, you don’t have to book a place, just come along and play.

Saturday 14th September 5pm
Mathew North
‘One Voice, One Guitar and a lot of pedals' – This amazing guitarist produces a full band sound all on his own. Guitarist for the jazz legend Mike Westbrook, Mathew’s appearance at the Bicton comes a few days after their latest sell-out performance at Ronnie Scott’s. Today Mathew will be performing his own songs, material from bands he has played in, including Secrets for September and All Living Fear, and musicians he knows personally, such as Tom Bailey from the Thompson Twins, and Arthur Brown.

Livvy Hylton-Smith & John McLoughlin
You are guaranteed to be impressed by this amazing duo comprising charismatic singer Livvy Hylton-Smith and multi-instrumentalist John Mcloughlin. They will be performing a varied selection of songs from the 70s to the present day along with some originals.

Sunday 15th September 8pm
Exmouth Irish Session
An evening of lively and evocative music from the Emerald Isle when musicians from all over Devon come together for this regular traditional Irish session. If you sing or play, come and join in. It’s a great night to meet up with people with Irish roots too.

Thursday 19th September 8.30pm
Folk and Indie Open Night
Becky Brookes hosts her regular monthly evening of eclectic acoustic folk, country and indie music featuring a varied selection of singers and players. There will be some session playing, solo performances, poetry, shanty singing and who knows what else! If you sing or play you are welcome to take part.

Saturday 21st September 5pm
Reefs of Moonshine
Enjoy some very chilled music in the company of acoustic duo Reefs of Moonshine. Lisa’s angelic voice is beautifully complemented by Nick’s intricate guitar playing, creating a very polished sound. The duo will perform their own arrangements of popular melodic songs....drawn from the worlds of folk, country and soul music.

Fire Exit
An afternoon of trad. jazz in the company of talented jazz stalwarts Martin Nichols, Bob King, Charlie Hernshaw and Paul Barnham who will be performing a selection of beautiful, chilled jazz standards.

Thursday 26th September 8.30pm
Bicton Folk Night
Exmouth Shanty Man Derek Brooks invites you to join him for an evening of evocative and rousing music performed by some of East Devon’s talented folk musicians. If you sing or play why not come along and join in the session? Otherwise enjoy listening to a selection of varied and lively traditional acoustic music.

Saturday 28th September 5pm
McCreadys
No one recreates the authentic sound of American country blues quite like the McCreadys. With intricate guitar picking and deep, sultry vocals, Robbo Lees and Nick Bayes will take you on a musical journey across the southern states of the USA when they perform some well known and lesser known songs from the ‘Deep South’.

Sunday 29th September 5pm
Rosie Eade
Rosie’s voice is likened to Kate Bush, Maddy Prior and Grace Slick, and her original music is inspired by the likes of The Who as much as Steeleye Span. She is equally accomplished within the acoustic-folk and old school rock genres. Her music is regularly featured on BBC Regional Radio and she’s well known on the national festival scene having performed at Cambridge Folk Festival, Beautiful Days and Glastonbury's Avalon Cafe, to name a few.
