This information sheet is supplementary to the Standard and Special
Conditions of Hire (found on the reverse of the hiring agreement).
N.B.
The Hall is a No Smoking area throughout ·

allowed, except guide dogs
The total number of people in HPH must not exceed 250.
Before
Decorations can be fixed to the plain wooden strip at 8’6" height
around HPH; hooks are provided and pins can be temporarily pushed into this
strip.
Do not affix any decorations/tape/Blu-Tack etc. to painted walls.
Stage blocks may only be used by prior arrangement (additional charge).
Do you need car park marshal(s) to keep emergency vehicle access clear?
Get the door entry code in plenty of time. Do not give door entry code to
children or other unauthorised persons.
During
Never leave HPH unattended and unlocked.
Ensure no noise nuisance is caused by opening the Fire Exit doors at the
side of the Hall.
Do not allow use of aerosol spray party ‘string’ or similar (this is
very difficult to remove from the floor after it has been trodden on).
HEATING Do not adjust boiler/thermostat/radiator controls without consent of
HPH staff.
After
TABLES AND CHAIRS Stack tables and chairs carefully in storeroom.

Green chairs - 5 stacks of 22 against outside wall, 1 stack of red/grey chairs
ditto (by doors).
Remaining green in 2 stacks. Brown chairs all together.
CLEANING Leave HPH in a clean and tidy state. Cleaning materials and
equipment are provided. Sweep main hall floor; wash floor if any drinks
spillage or serious soiling occurs. Same for kitchen; clean cooker and
surrounds, microwave, fridge, if used.
You may be asked to pay a cleaning supplement if abnormal cleaning is
required as a result of your booking.
RUBBISH Take your sacks of rubbish with you.
CROCKERY/CUTLERY If crockery/cutlery hired, wash and check carefully. Lock
padlocked cupboards. Your crockery/cutlery deposit will be returned after double-check by HPH staff.
LIGHTS Ensure all lights are switched off (including storeroom,
toilets, car park).
DOORS Ensure all doors are closed, (especially check double Fire Exit
doors).
Front doors must be securely locked, with all bolts in position.
TIME Leave by the end of your booked time; someone else may be using HPH
immediately after you.
PAYMENT Have you paid the balance of your hiring fee? It is due now.
Pay to Pat Mills at "Wesley House" next to the telephone box at the
bottom of the village, stating your name and hiring date. Cheques payable to
"Harberton Parish Hall".
