A bit of history
 
Thanks to the generosity of several
collectors, the village website is lucky to have an extensive collection of
old images of Harberton, many dating back 100 years or so. Two such images
are those of Ford Farmhouse reproduced above (looking south and north
respectively).

These were in the days before tarmac roads, when the ford which gave the
house its name still existed, and when large trees still stood in St
Andrew's churchyard. Compare with the modern-day counterparts below.
Transport was a little different then too!
