River Dart from Greenway gardenLeave your car at Edenmore and stroll into Totnes with its picturesque main street and lovely riverside walk. From here you can take a leisurely cruise down the beautiful River Dart. The boat takes you past fields, woodlands, waterside villages and Devon's award-winning Sharpham vineyard. Disembark at Dartmouth, home of the Britannia Royal Naval College. Cross the water to Kingswear. Visit the home of the crime novelist Agatha Christie, Greenway (National Trust), built overlooking the River Dart (right).

Staverton stationTake a steam train from Kingswear to Paignton in the heart of the 'English Riviera'. Another steam train (left) will take you from Totnes to Buckfastleigh with its famous Abbey.

You can relax on the award winning beach at Blackpool Sands, or visit other seaside towns such as Salcombe and Torquay.

Dartington HallNearby is the historic Dartington Hall, famous for its mediaeval buildings and beautiful gardens. Nearby is the Cider Press Centre which sells many handmade crafts and gifts.

Eating out can be a delight with a wide range of excellent restaurants to suit all cultural tastes in Totnes. Also in nearby Dartington can be found The White Hart and, during the day, Cranks (vegetarian) and The Cafe at the Cider Press Centre.
